This year marks the 15th anniversary of the annual Grey Bruce Children’s Water Festival.

Bruce Power’s Joanna Moffat, a Technical Officer with Environment Programs, presented a $10,000 cheque to the Water Festival, an event Bruce Power has proudly sponsored for many years. The program aims to cultivate in every child and adult who participates in the festival an understanding of – and appreciation for – the water they use and the environment in which they live.

Bruce Power’s funding allows for the program to be offered free of registration fees.

Maintaining ground and surface water quality and quantity is extremely important for the future development of our community and for the health and enjoyment of its residents. To do this, Bruce Power believes educating our young children about water and the environment is the perfect place to start.
