Joined Bruce Power: 2001

Carrie has worn many hats since she started with Bruce Power in 2001. Her latest is working as a Lean Advisor in the Business Improvement Group to help eliminate waste and apply lean tools for continuous improvement around site. Carrie has always been a people person and loves helping others. Thanks to Bruce Power, the company has allowed her to do just that and to flourish.

With Kinesiology and Human Factors degrees from the University of Waterloo and University of Nottingham, Carrie started her career with Bruce Power as an Ergonomist in the Safety department. She became involved in various committees and rotational opportunities to gain hands-on experience in different areas within the organization.

At Bruce Power, her most rewarding project to date has been to lead a group of 30 individuals to develop and run seven different Human Performance Simulators – representing various parts of the business. As a result of this successful development, Carrie went on to write a paper about the project and present her findings at the International Youth Nuclear Conference in Sweden and the Industrial Accident Prevention Association (IAPA) Health and Safety Conference in Toronto.
