Sean Best

Position: High school co-op student in Corporate Affairs

Duration: February – June 2011

Sean’s five month co-op placement got off on a fast start. He quickly learned the skills of the trade in the busy Corporate Affairs department and got an inside look at what his future career could look like. Right from day one, Sean was given real work and focused on a number of small projects.

As a high school student, Sean wanted to gain practical work experience in communications before heading off to the University of Western Ontario in the fall to study Media, Information and Technoculture.

“Everyone I worked with at Bruce Power has a high sense of honour in everything they do; they enjoy coming to work everyday and take pride in what they do” says Sean.

Daily tasks for Sean change but he said the one thing that stayed the same is the high sense of safety and security he felt coming to Bruce Power day in and day out “this is a great place to work and I would recommend it to anyone.”
