John Sauger
Executive Vice President, Project Management and Construction
John joined Bruce Power in 2008 as Vice President, Bruce A Restart. In January 2010, John was appointed Executive Vice President, Project Management and Construction.
Prior to Bruce Power, John was Senior Vice President of the US engineering, design, construction and maintenance services firm, Shaw Group. He directed projects commissioned by the US government that included the design and construction of a helicopter facility in Afghanistan, a mixed oxide fuel conversion plant in South Carolina and Hurricane Katrina reconstruction assignments in New Orleans.
In the late 1990s John served as Decommissioning Manager at Maine Yankee which became the first commercial nuclear plant decommissioned on time and on budget. He joined the Pickering A Restart Project in 2001 as Director of Outages and later became Director of Construction to expedite Pickering 4’s return to service in 2005.
