John J. McManus

John McManus joined Borealis Capital Corporation after six years at The Rider Group Inc., a private investment holding company. In 1998, John led the sale of The Rider Travel Group to a British public company. Since that time, John’s primary role was sourcing, negotiating, and managing start up private equity investments for The Rider Group as Executive Vice President.
Prior to working with Rider, John spent six years at The Bitove Corporation (“Bitove”), a family owned food service and entertainment company. As Vice President, Finance with Bitove, John participated in several financing and acquisition transactions, including the successful bid to bring NBA basketball to Toronto. Prior to joining Bitove, John spent six years at Andersen (formerly Arthur Andersen & Co., Chartered Accountants) specializing in owner-managed clients.
John holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Toronto. He is also a Chartered Accountant and a Director of several private companies.
