Bruce Power employees took advantage of the beautiful weather to raise $25,000 for the United Way of Bruce Grey through their annual golf tournament, which is held in both Kincardine and Saugeen Shores.
About 180 employees took to Ainsdale Golf Course and the Saugeen Golf Club for a four-player scramble that raised funds for the local organization.
“Our employee tournament is a fun day on the golf course that has the added benefit of raising funds for a very worthy cause as the United Way prepares for the winter season, which can be difficult for many local residents,” said Chris Mercanti, Section Manager, Community & Indigenous Relations. “Our employees take seriously their role in providing low-cost, carbon-free electricity to Ontarians while also investing in an organization like the United Way that does so much to support people in our communities.”
