Bruce Power and supplier partners donate $50,000 to Kincardine and Community Health Care Foundation Radiothon

During the annual Kincardine and Community Health Care Foundation Radiothon which took place on Friday, September 17, Bruce Power and 37 supplier partners announced a donation of $50,000.

“Our frontline workers have worked tirelessly over the past 18 months to keep us safe and healthy, and we want to ensure our local hospitals have the equipment they need to offer high-quality health care,” said Mike Rencheck, Bruce Power’s President & CEO. “Bruce Power and our supplier partners have been long-time supporters of our local health care foundations and supporting quality health care close to home.”

The donations from this year’s Radiothon and mail-out fundraiser will go toward a new ultrasound machine to support the South Bruce Grey Health Centre’s cardiology program at the Kincardine Hospital.

“We are extremely grateful for the generosity of Bruce Power and their supplier partners,” said Becky Fair, President of the Kincardine and Community Health Care Foundation. “During these challenging times, it is more important than ever that we have state-of-the-art medical equipment in our hospitals that meet the needs of our communities.  On behalf of the Foundation, I would like to thank them for their continued support.”

The Bruce Power Charitable Events Sponsorship Program aligns the company’s vendor partners with local, provincial and national non-profit organizations that focus on Indigenous youth, health and wellness organizations, Canadian veterans and local Legions, food banks, provincial vaccination efforts, and hospital foundations. A total of 37 suppliers supported the program, which will donate about $570,000 to these initiatives in 2021.
