Bruce Power is monitoring the ongoing negotiations between Candu Energy (SNC-Lavalin) and the Society of Professional Engineers and Associates (SPEA).
As the provider of roughly a third of Ontario’s electricity, we know the province counts on us and we want to assure the people of Ontario that this labour disruption does not impact our ability to safely provide electricity to the province and medical isotopes worldwide.
While Bruce Power is not directly involved in the negotiations, we encourage the parties to work together to reach a fair agreement.
The attached letter was sent to SNC-Lavalin and the Society of Professional Engineers and Associates from Bruce Power President and CEO Mike Rencheck and OPG President and CEO Ken Hartwick.
