The Grey Bruce Eat & Learn Steering Committee received a cheque for $2,100 from Bruce Power at its quarterly meeting in Owen Sound on May 8. The money will be used to cover the cost of a new computer for the program coordinator, Bev Gateman, whose current antiquated tower machine can’t send email attachments and is being held together by duct tape. The new, soon-to-be purchased laptop will help the work she does supporting and visiting the over-70 school nutrition programs across all of Bruce and Grey counties.
