Another great year for the Grey Bruce Children’s Water Festival

Local Grade 4 students participate in "Water Main Break!", one of the hands-on outdoor activities at the Grey Bruce Children's Water Festival on Sept. 25, at the Chesley Community Centre.
It was another successful year for the 12th annual Grey Bruce Children’s Water Festival, held at the Chesley Community Centre from Sept. 24-26.
Close to 2,000 Grade 4 students from across Grey and Bruce counties traveled to the festival to learn about the importance of water resources in everyday life.
A fun and educational event, it provided students the chance to learn about the wise use, conservation and protection of water and water sources through hands-on learning experiences. Through 45 activity centres, operated by over 125 volunteers, students experienced the role water plays in our environment and learned how to become better water stewards in their classroom, at home and in their community.
Bruce Power has supported the festival as a platinum sponsor with $10,000 in donations since its inception.
