Duncan Hawthorne, Bruce Power’s President and CEO, will hold his second annual Telephone Town Hall with thousands of Bruce, Grey and Huron County residents on Jan. 27.
During the teleconference, Hawthorne will discuss Bruce Power’s accomplishments in 2014, while looking at what’s ahead in 2015 at the world’s largest operating nuclear facility. Residents of Bruce, Grey and Huron counties will receive an automated phone call at 6:55 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 27, asking them to remain on the line should they want to join Hawthorne on the Telephone Town Hall, which begins at 7 p.m.
The teleconference is slated to last an hour and the CEO will answer as many questions from the public as he can during the allotted time.
Last year’s Telephone Town Hall was a huge success, with over 11,000 residents joining me in a frank discussion about Bruce Power and nuclear’s role in Ontario’s energy supply mix, Hawthorne said.
I addressed many excellent questions and hopefully provided insight into the importance of safe, reliable and carbon-free Bruce Power nuclear energy during the call. I encourage people to mark the Town Hall on their calendar and join me for what should be a lively discussion.
