Bruce Power, its suppliers, community partners and local businesses didn’t let the rain dampen their spirits as they raised $165,000 to be split between the Kincardine and Community Health Care Foundation and the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation.

The annual fundraiser, which has now raised almost $2 million for local health care initiatives over the past 16 years, was held Aug. 11 at the Saugeen Golf Club. Proceeds from the tournament assist the foundations in purchasing life-saving equipment for the Kincardine and Southampton hospitals.

“The Kincardine and Saugeen foundations allow our hospitals to stay at the forefront of rural health care, and Bruce Power and our partners are proud of the role we play in their successes,” said James Scongack, Vice President, Corporate Affairs & Environment. “We are fortunate to live in communities where volunteers make such a lasting impact on our quality of life through their commitment to our hospitals.”
