On May 10, 30 Bruce Power employees, family members and community members participated in ‘Clean Sweep,’ an off-site litter pickup, in association with Bruce County Highways Adopt-A-Highway program.

This year because of increased volunteer turnout and their hard work, we were able to increase the length of road that litter was picked up from in the past. Efforts focused on Concessions 2 and 4, as well as Tie Road, which connects the concessions and provides access to the Bruce Power site.

In all, 52 bag of garbage, 22 bags of recycling, a space heater, a large green rug and numerous car parts were removed from ditches along the road. Thanks again to all volunteers that came out and individuals who helped organize the event.
