Bruce Power is proud to support Owen Sound’s Festival of Northern Lights, the ‘gateway to the holiday season’ which runs every evening 5-11 pm from Nov. 18 to Jan.9.

Started by the Walpole family in 1987, the festival has grown to become one of the most celebrated winter displays in Ontario. Surpassing the original goal of brightening Owen Sound’s Sydenham River, the festival’s 18 kilometres of lights illuminate the harbour, the riverbanks, the downtown core as well as Harrison Park.

Volunteers work tirelessly to ensure families from around the region can come to enjoy the display each evening throughout the Christmas season. For more information about the festival, visit www.festivallights.ca.

Jays on the Road, presented by Bruce Power, is the Toronto Blue Jays interactive tour on wheels! Celebrating Bruce Power’s 10th Anniversary, Jays on the Road inflatable pitching and batting cages will be set up on Port Elgin Beach, Sunday, July 17, from 1 to 3 p.m. This free family event is also sponsored by PLAY in Bruce Grey, www.playbrucegrey.com.

Come and explore the science of the human body and get up close and personal with some creepy crawlers at the Bruce Power Visitors’ Centre on July 5. From 9 a.m. until noon, children of all ages are invited to attend our hands-on environmental themed program.
