In 2013, Bruce Power purchased its first Electric Vehicle (EV), which is educating people about the environmental benefits, innovation and future of EVs. The EV can be seen at the Bruce Power Visitors’ Centre in the summer months, as well as at many community events and festivals.
Bruce Power has also partnered with Plug’n Drive for EV Education Day, and worked together to install public charging stations at the Bruce Power Visitors’ Centre, while other stations are planned for various communities in the region in the coming years. This partnership helps educate the public on the importance of the emerging clean vehicle industry and makes it easier for people with EVs to charge their car when on the road.
