Duncan Hawthorne held a virtual town hall meeting on Jan. 28, which was attended by over 10,000 Bruce, Grey and Huron county residents.

The Bruce Power President and CEO addressed the company’s successes and challenges of 2013 and looked ahead to 2014, before taking questions from the public.

“”It’s normally very difficult to gather large amounts of people, especially during Bruce County winters, to discuss Bruce Power’s past achievements and future plans, so this new communication tool proved to be a very effective way to reach thousands of people across our region,””

Hawthorne said.

“”I wanted it to be interactive and conversational because I’m always interested in hearing from our communities, to ensure we’re doing everything possible to get people the information they need, and I believe this format was a success.””
