On Friday, Feb. 10, at 10 a.m. there will be a test of the public alerting siren on Conc. 6.
The test, which will last three minutes, is being done to confirm the activation and function of the newly refurbished siren. The public alerting sirens are part of the emergency preparedness communications system for people living within three kilometres of the Bruce Power site.
The system is operated, maintained and activated by the Municipality of Kincardine on behalf of Bruce Power and the province.
