September 22, 2017 – Kincardine, Ontario – Global design firm Stantec has opened a new office in Bruce County, Ontario. Located at 926 Queen Street in Kincardine, Stantec’s new location will be a project office focusing on architectural, buildings engineering, planning and land development engineering in support of Bruce Power.

“We are pleased to see Stantec establish a local presence in our region, and look forward to continuing to build our relationship with them as we advance critical infrastructure projects to support Bruce Power’s Life Extension Program,” said Kevin Kelly, EVP, Corporate Services at Bruce Power.

“Our relationship with Bruce Power, and the commitment they have made to our Stantec team, is a key factor to our locating an office and staff in Kincardine,” said Kevin Fergin, regional business leader with Stantec. “We also look forward to further opportunities within Bruce County and the surrounding area. Many of our staff have roots in the area, so we feel a personal commitment to the County and to the success of the projects that help develop the community.”

Mitch Twolan, the Warden of Bruce County, congratulated Stantec on their expansion to the region. “We appreciate the value their commitment to local economic development will have on our surrounding communities,” Twolan said. “Our economic development partnership with Bruce Power, and the opportunities this has already brought to the area, is critical to ensuring the long-term sustainability of Bruce Power, its local supply chain, and our local communities.”
