Representatives from the Municipality of Kincardine and a number of leading environmental stewardship agencies conducted an orientation and training session for more than 30 volunteers at the Bruce Power Visitors’ Centre on Saturday, April 7. Led by Bird Studies Canada, the Saugeen Valley Conservation Authority and the Penetangore Watershed Group, the interactive session trained aspiring citizen scientists to participate in the Great Lakes Marsh Monitoring Program in the Kincardine area throughout 2018 and beyond. For more information on the program, contact Chrystel Murphy at cmurphy@kincardine.net.
