Bruce Power celebrates Earth Week 2018

Bruce Power employees celebrated Earth Week April 16-22 with a number of activities to help protect the environment and connect with nature.

Taylor White, Senior Technical Engineer, organized a plastic bag collection that ran all week and provided employees with a way to recycle plastic bags from home, keeping them out of the landfill. Four cubic yards of plastic were collected this year.

Bruce Power also participated in the eco-mentors program that saw students from Kincardine, Port Elgin and Southampton elementary schools learn about biodiversity and conservation in the Bruce County area.

Employees also committed to making small changes in their daily lifestyle. From riding a bike to work, and using reusable lunch boxes, to composting and using eco-friendly cleaning products – our staff are passionate about making the community a cleaner, greener place to live.

#NuclearAgainstRacism

We stand in solidarity with Black, Indigenous and People of Colour (BIPOC) communities across the world in the unquestionable proclamation that the lives of BIPOC Matter.
