Visit to the Darlington Energy Complex

On Monday June 25, seven students from Corporate Affairs at Bruce Power, visited the Darlington Energy Complex.

This was an opportunity for our summer students to see Darlington’s work on its Refurbishment project so far, as well as get to learn some of the differences between the Bruce and Darlington sites.

While there, the students were able to see the mock-up of a reactor face, which was true to size and a great opportunity to see up close.

It was a great experience for our summer students to sit in on Darlington’s bus tour program and look around their information centre, which gave the team a chance to learn more, and also to see it from a visitor’s point of view.

All in all, the trip was a big success in getting to see the Darlington Energy Complex, its reactor mock-up, as well as learning all about its ongoing refurbishment and what to expect with Bruce Power’s upcoming Major Component Replacement.
