Duncan Hawthorne, Bruce Power’s President and CEO, will discuss today’s refurbishment announcement with residents of Bruce, Grey and Huron counties during a telephone ‘town hall’ meeting tonight.

Members of the community will receive a phone call around 7 p.m., inviting them to join Hawthorne in a town hall setting. Participants in the teleconference will be invited to submit a question to Hawthorne, who will address as many as time permits.

“This telephone town hall is a great way for me to provide more information on the highlights of the long-term agreement we have signed with the Independent Electricity Systems Operator (IESO), and outline what it means for the future of the Bruce Power site,” Hawthorne said. “Over the last 15 years, Bruce Power has always demonstrated a commitment to openness and this is an opportunity for us to share information with the local community, while also kicking off what will be long-term engagement with surrounding communities as we progress with this process.”

Members of the community can expect a phone call around 7 p.m. tonight and can join the town hall meeting by following the instructions. If you do not receive a phone call but would like to take part, call 1-877-519-6647 and use PIN code 641043.
