Fifteen campers participated in this year’s Skills Ontario Camp at the Bruce Power Visitors’ Centre exploring skilled trades and technology with hands-on activities.

Facilitated in conjunction by Skills Ontario staff and Wendy Hus, an Authorized Nuclear Operator at Bruce Power, this year’s program involved 15 students ranging in age from 12 to 14. The students participated in many hands-on activities and heard from Saugeen Shores Mayor Mike Smith, Information Technology Solution Architect Brian Moss, Executive Director of Women in Nuclear Canada Joy Shikaze and others.

They were also provided with a bus tour of the Bruce Power site and visited the facility’s Bruce Learning Centre and Bruce Skills and Technology Training Centre.
