Join Bruce Power this summer for a narrated site bus tour and explore interactive Visitors’ Centre

It’s going to be another busy summer at the Bruce Power Visitors’ Centre.

After welcoming more than 10,000 people to the Visitors’ Centre last year, the popular Summer Bus Tour Program has returned.

Narrated tours of our 2,300-acre site will be held Monday-Friday in June, July and August, with one tour a day in June and three a day in July and August (except statutory holidays).

Tours begin at the Bruce Power Visitors’ Centre, at 3394 County Rd. 20, north of Tiverton, where participants will have the opportunity to watch a short film and interact with displays on the nuclear electricity process, the production of cancer-fighting medical isotopes, our Major Component Replacement Projects, the company’s commitment to safety and the environment, and our history as one of Ontario’s clean energy leaders.

After a security check of each person’s government-issued photo ID (for individuals over the age of 18), visitors will continue to learn about clean and reliable nuclear energy by boarding a bus and taking a one-hour, narrated tour of site.

Pre-registration is strongly recommended at www.brucepower.com/bustours, though a few walk-in spaces are available daily on a first-come basis.

If you aren’t able to make it for a bus tour, the Visitors’ Centre has many interactive and educational displays to offer people of all ages who are interested in learning more about nuclear power and cancer-fighting medical isotopes. Plan your trip to the Visitors’ Centre at www.brucepower.com/visit.

July 29 will also mark the return of our community appreciation event in downtown Port Elgin, capped by fireworks at dusk over Main Beach. Bruce Power FunFest will be held both indoors and outdoors at the Port Elgin Missionary Church and will feature fun for the whole family, including dog and reptile shows, children’s entertainment and face painting, free food, and much more. Watch brucepower.com, our social media channels, and the local media for more information as the date approaches.

If you are a part of a school or community organization that would like to learn more about Bruce Power, please reach out to us to arrange a visit at BNPDVisitorCentre@brucepower.com or call 519-361-7777.

We look forward to seeing you this summer!
