Bruce Power supplier partners have donated $100,000 to the annual Saugeen Memorial Hospital Gran Fondo fundraising event.
Gran Fondo’s annual fundraising bike ride, taking place Aug. 16, brings together families, teams and individuals alike to enjoy a day of pedaling to provide long-term, high-impact improvements to local community health care.
“Bruce Power’s Supplier Partners continue to impress us with their commitment to local and regional health care improvement initiatives,” said James Scongack, Bruce Power’s Executive Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer. “Technology and health care improvements, along with ongoing staff initiatives ensure Brightshores Health System remains a top tier provider for years to come.”
“We are deeply grateful to Bruce Power’s suppliers for their continued support of the Gran Fondo Lake Huron,” said Tracy Murray, Executive Director, Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation. “Their generosity helps ensure this event not only brings our community together in a celebration of cycling and camaraderie but also raises vital funds to strengthen health care across our region. With this partnership, we can continue to invest in life-saving equipment and services that make a real difference for patients and families close to home.”
Bruce Power and its suppliers have brought riders together since 2018 with a shared commitment to strengthening healthcare. With more than $1.7M raised to date, not including proceeds from this year’s event ride, every makes a difference.
