Bruce Power Summer Bus Tour Program kicks off

Bruce Power’s popular Summer Bus Tour Program has resumed as of June 2 and will run through Aug. 30, offering thousands of guests a narrated, one-hour tour of the Bruce Power site.

Tours are offered daily, Monday to Friday, in June, and three times a day, seven days a week in July and August. The public is encouraged to pre-register at www.brucepower.com/bustours as seats are limited.

Starting at the Bruce Power Visitors’ Centre, located at 3394 County Rd. 20, north of Tiverton, guests will have the opportunity to explore the Exhibit Hall before hopping on a bus for a one-hour narrated tour about clean, reliable nuclear energy, the production of cancer-fighting medical isotopes, the company’s Major Component Replacement (MCR) project, the site’s history, and Bruce Power’s commitment to safety and the environment.

“Our bus tour program is a rare opportunity for the public to get an up-close look at our site and stations, while learning about Bruce Power’s importance to Ontario’s reliable and clean electricity supply mix,” said Dwight Irwin, Manager of Community Relations. “Whether you’re hosting friends and family from out of town or plan to visit the area this summer and are looking for an interesting activity for the whole family, a bus tour of the Bruce Power site and the Visitors’ Centre Exhibit Hall is an informative and educational experience for all ages.”

Community organizations and school groups are also welcome to join us for a site tour. To arrange a tour for larger groups, call 519-361-7777 or email BNPDVisitorCentre@brucepower.com.
