Bruce Power celebrated Groundhog Day with Wiarton Willie, Canada’s pre-eminent weather-predicting groundhog.
As the Platinum Sponsor of the Wiarton Willie Festival and his 70th annual prediction, Bruce Power joined the Wiarton community for the fantastic event.
“Bruce Power is thrilled to once again support the Wiarton Willie Festival as it brings so much joy and excitement to the community,” said James Scongack, Bruce Power’s Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice-President. “Our involvement is a testament to Bruce Power’s dedication to enriching local traditions and being an active member of the community.”
The day’s events kicked off with spectacular fireworks at Bluewater Park, followed by entertainment and speeches from dignitaries before Willie emerged and didn’t see his shadow, a welcomed prediction of an early Spring.
“It was another great event in Wiarton and we thank the community for allowing us to be part of its annual celebration,” Scongack added.
