Bruce Power invites you to FunFest in Walkerton August 1 to mark company’s 25th anniversary

Bruce Power invites you to celebrate the company’s 25th anniversary at its annual FunFest, being held Saturday, Aug. 1, at the Walkerton Arena, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

This free event will feature plenty of family fun, including reptile and magic shows, rock climbing, inflatables, face painting, musical entertainment, and a caricaturist, as well as activities with the Nuclear Innovation Institute’s Explore program. In addition, sno-cones, candy floss, popcorn, and free merchandise will be available, while supplies last.

Following the day’s festivities, fireworks will take place at dusk at both Port Elgin and Kincardine beaches to mark Bruce Power’s 25th anniversary, which was May 11.

“This will be a fun-filled day for all ages,” said Maggie Tieman, Bruce Power’s Director of Community and External Affairs. “We look forward to this event in the community every year and are excited to continue the tradition in Walkerton this summer. Join us for an afternoon of free food, entertainment, and family activities and amazing fireworks shows over Lake Huron that night!”

Only barrier-free parking will be available on site, so we encourage guests to take advantage of the free shuttle service that will run throughout Walkerton, beginning at 10:30 a.m. For more information on the parking locations, shuttle drop-off and pick-up details, and the schedule of events, visit brucepower.com/funfest.
