Bruce Power’s supplier partners donated $75,000 to Wounded Warriors Canada in support of ill and injured Canadian Armed Forces members, first responders and their families.
As a national mental health service provider for trauma exposed organizations, professionals and their families, Wounded Warriors specializes in providing culturally informed services that utilize a combination of education, counselling, and training approaches to support resiliency and recovery from post-trauma injuries.
“Bruce Power and its supplier partners have been steadfast supporters of the organization since 2012,” said Philip C. Ralph, CD Captain (Ret’d) and Director of Clinical Services, Wounded Warriors Canada.
“They were first to surpass $1 million in donations and have contributed nearly $1.3 million to date,” Ralph added. “This ongoing partnership has been transformative, enabling Wounded Warriors Canada to move from a small foundation to a National Mental Health Service Provider dedicated to serving trauma exposed organizations, trauma exposed professionals and their families. Today, Wounded Warriors Canada specializes in providing culturally informed services that utilize a combination of education, counselling, and training approaches to support resiliency and recovery from post-trauma injuries.”
“We are very proud of our supplier partners for their on-going support of Wounded Warriors Canada,” said Jeff Steven, Bruce Power’s Division Manager, Emergency & Protective Services. “As an industry that welcomes a lot of Veterans and first responders into its ranks, the nuclear industry recognizes the importance of assisting those with operational stress injuries while also supporting their loved ones as well. Wounded Warriors’ holistic and dedicated programs for Veterans and first responders, as well as their spouses and children, are fundamental to helping families feel safe, supported and understood.”
