The Environment & Sustainability (E&S) Fund supports locally relevant environmental initiatives that align with Bruce Power’s most material environmental‑ and sustainability‑related topics. The Fund prioritizes projects that deliver measurable environmental outcomes, strengthen ecosystem resilience, and support the long‑term sustainability of the regions in which we operate, including initiatives focused on environmental conservation and restoration as well as environmental education, awareness, and research.
The E&S Fund seeks opportunities to partner with organization on projects and initiatives related to one or more of the following environment focused material topics:
- Biodiversity and Ecosystems
Protection, restoration, monitoring, and enhancement of terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems; habitat connectivity; species at risk; use of local and native species. - Climate Adaptation and Environmental Resilience
Nature based or hybrid solutions that enhance resilience to extreme weather, flooding, erosion, and other climate related risks. - Air Quality, Water, and Pollution Prevention
Projects that protect or improve air quality, surface and groundwater quality, or reduce the risk of pollution and environmental degradation. - Waste Reduction and Circularity
Initiatives that support waste diversion, material reuse, recovery, or demonstration of circular economy approaches with environmental benefit. - Environmental Monitoring, Research, and Data
Applied research, monitoring programs, or pilot initiatives that improve understanding of environmental systems, inform decision making, or advance best practices relevant to Bruce Power’s operating context. - Environmental Education and Awareness
Programs that build environmental literacy, particularly where they support biodiversity, conservation, or environmental resilience (distinct from broader community or youth programming). - Carbon Related Projects (Selective)
