Working at Bruce Power
Bruce Power is located approximately 250 kilometres northwest of Toronto, Ontario, on the shores of Lake Huron between the towns of Kincardine and Saugeen Shores.
We are the largest employer in a region that’s famous for its beautiful beaches, four-season sports and recreation activities and picturesque towns and villages.
Many employees find working at Bruce Power the best of all worlds. They earn very competitive salaries with comprehensive benefits and pension programs, while enjoying the friendliness of small-town or rural living.
In 2014, Bruce Power was named the ninth Most Attractive Employer in Canada by Randstad, in an independent survey of 7,000 job-seekers between the ages of 18 and 65. The survey focused on the Top 150 companies in Canada, and Bruce Power placed in the Top 10 of Randstad’s survey with companies like WestJet, Coca Cola and Bombardier.
In 2012, for the second consecutive year, Bruce Power won the Achievers 50 Most Engaged Workplaces™ Award. This prestigious award acknowledges the company’s commitment to employee engagement.
In 2013, for the second consecutive year, we were also recognized as one of Canada’s Top Employers for Young People, a competition organized by the editors of Canada’s Top 100 Employers.
The award recognizes employers that offer the nation’s best benefits for younger workers but also takes into account programs to attract and retain younger workers. Bruce Power’s efforts as host of one of eight Canadian chapters of the international Young Generation in Nuclear organization, which allows young professionals to network across the industry, was one of the reasons cited in the company’s favour.
Bruce Power was also named one of Canada’s Top 10 Most Admired Corporate Cultures in the ‘Enterprise’ Category by Waterstone Human Capital.
Bruce Power was also named one of the most noteworthy nuclear facilities in the world by POWER Magazine in late-2013.
