We’ve answered the most frequently asked questions below. Please note that to apply for a job at Bruce Power, you must apply online.

Candidate HomeAccount/Profile Setup

You can create an account/candidate profile one of two ways. After you apply for a position you will be prompted to create a new account. Or you can select the “sign in” option on the top right hand side of the current opportunities listing, then select “create account”.

You will be sent an account verification email with a link to verify your account. When you receive this email, if you click on the link and it does not work, please copy and paste the link contained in the email directly into your browser.

Password must be eight characters long and contain at least one capital letter, one number and one special character.

Your name, contact information, work experience and education will be stored for future applications. Any attachments submitted will not be saved for future applications.

Your status on a job application will show as Active until you are no longer being considered for the opportunity. Your status will change to Not Selected if you are no longer being considered for the opportunity. You will receive an email notification if your application has been dispositioned.

Applying Online

Quick apply is the ability to quickly upload your resume and our system will extract the details of your resume and input them into our application fields on your behalf (this is known as resume parsing). After using Quick Apply, you should review the job application fields to ensure the information is correct. If you do not wish to use Quick Apply, simply click “Next” and fill in the fields yourself. You will be able to attach your resume and other documents at another step in the application process.

No. When candidates apply to a Bruce Power job posting by linking their LinkedIn profile to the application, there is no badge or signifier that gets placed on the applicants LinkedIn profile that would be visible to any external viewer. LinkedIn keeps job applications off of a candidates profile for anonymity.

You can upload DOC, DOCX, HTML, PDF, or TXT file types (5MB total max). Zip files cannot be processed.

Yes. Workday has no problem recognizing special characters.

No. Once you start the application process, you must continue through to submission or begin again. Your data will not be saved until submitted.

Once your online application and attachments are submitted, you will not be able to make changes. You will need to reapply to the vacancy (using a different e-mail address) if you have already submitted your application.

After Submitting your Application

Due to the volume of applications received by Bruce Power, we are unable to provide status updates on applications as we move through the recruitment activities for a vacancy. Only those candidates that have been selected to move forward will be contacted directly. After each critical phase of the process, applicants who are screened out or not successful will be notified at that time.

Yes, candidates will be considered for all positions applied to.
